Spicy Mango Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups Nature’s Touch Frozen Mangoes
  • Juice of 2 small limes
  • 2 small cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 chili pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro, to taste
  • 2 tsp. organic canola oil
  • Salt

GARNISH 

  • 1 kaffir lime leaf (optional)*
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

* Fresh kaffir lime leaves are available at Asian grocery stores and dry leaves are available at various grocery stores.

  • 20 oz Nature’s Touch Frozen Mangoes
  • Juice of 2 small limes
  • 2 small cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 chili pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil

Preparation

  1. Thaw mangoes according to package directions.
  2. Purée all ingredients except canola oil in a food processor.
  3. Gently drizzle oil into mixture.
Garnish with sesame seeds and a very thinly sliced kaffir lime leaf. This sauce is the perfect accompaniment to go with shrimp kabobs and chicken satays.  Create a lovely hostess gift by pouring this deliciously spicy sauce into a nice glass jar with a pretty label!
