Kale and Krunches – Nature’s Touch – Blog Review

As a personal trainer and health coach living in Toronto, Canada, frozen fruit is a big and important part of my healthy lifestyle. I love frozen fruit for two main reasons: simplicity and nutrition. Living in a cold climate, my fruit intake used to be extremely limited in the winter time. I would find myself avoiding most fruit due to the lack of quality, poor selection and high prices in the colder months. It wasn’t until I switched over to frozen fruit that I realized I could still enjoy it year-round.

Nature’s Touch is the perfect example of a company that does frozen fruit the right away. They use the “farm to freezer” method meaning the fruit is frozen as soon as it is picked. This keeps it fresh, secures all the nutrition and ensures it tastes just as sweet and strong as when it was picked.

My favourite is the Nature’s Touch Organic Wild Blueberries. I typically use them in 3 ways:

  1. My blueberry banana smoothie – 1 cup of Nature’s Touch Organic Wild Blueberries, ½ banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter + 1 cup almond milk
  2. Blueberry oatmeal – ½ cup quick cooking oats topped with chopped nuts and a handful of Nature’s Touch Organic Wild Blueberries
  3. Flavoured soda water – just pop a handful of Nature’s Touch Organic Wild Blueberries into your water for an instant, sweet drink

The convenience of frozen fruit is also a huge bonus! The pre-packaged Nature’s Touch Mango-2-Go, for example, are perfectly portioned out for smoothies. As a bonus, there is no extra clean up for prepping, washing and cutting all your fruit.

Thanks to Nature’s Touch for keeping me on my fruit game year-round!
